Pioneer Bible Translators
JoJo G. joined Pioneer Bible Translators in December 2016 with the goal of serving as a translation specialist in Eurasia. Because of the pandemic, God temporarily redirected her steps to Alaska where, in a joint partnership with Arctic Barnabas Ministries, she trained and coached others who serve across remote Alaska.
After three years in Alaska, JoJo felt God leading her to pursue translation full-time again. She is working with a people group originally from Congo, Africa that is currently displaced in Louisville, KY. JoJo serves as assistant translation facilitator, and currently this entails:
Leading translation sessions while the lead translation facilitator is traveling
Learning a related language used for communication amongst the team
Helping on the linguistic side of things to ensure the following goals come through in the translation: Accuracy, Clarity, Naturalness, and Acceptability.
Pioneer Bible Translators vision is that lives may be transformed through God's Word in every language.
